"DB GROUP INTERNATIONAL" Privacy Policy 

 

  1. General information

  2. As part of its appraisal activities, regardless of the form or methods thereof, "DB GROUP INTERNATIONAL" will collect, process and record personal data communicated by its Clients or by third parties, including Clients’ insurance companies. This data will also be collected where the Client is registered for online services and, in particular, via the " VISIOXPERT DB" mobile application made available by "DB GROUP INTERNATIONAL" as part of a remote appraisal. 

  3. "DB GROUP INTERNATIONAL", as a data controller, has put technical and organisational measures in place to ensure the security and confidentiality of the personal data of its Clients, in accordance with Belgian and European legislation. 

  4. As a data controller, "DB GROUP INTERNATIONAL" has applied for its registration with the Belgian Privacy Commission, and it is registered with it under no. VT 005079637 and VT 004001801.

  1. The Client expressly authorises "DB GROUP INTERNATIONAL" to process personal data in accordance with Belgian and European privacy legislation and within the limits defined by this Privacy Policy. 

 

  1. Nature of the data processed and objectives of the data processing

 

  1. Nature of the personal data processed 

The data processed by "DB GROUP INTERNATIONAL" is as follows:

  • the surnames, first names, date of birth, language, postal address, email address and contact details which are collected from Clients and at the time of registration for online services, as detailed in Article 1.1; 

  • Geolocation data, photographs and other information that may be exchanged between "DB GROUP INTERNATIONAL" and the Client, in particular by email, as part of the appraisal activity; 

Personal data communicated by the Client will be recorded in a file which will be monitored and will remain at all times under the responsibility of "DB GROUP INTERNATIONAL".

 

  1. Purposes of the processing of personal data

The personal data will be collected and processed by "DB GROUP INTERNATIONAL" for the following purposes: 

  • The management of client files;   

  • The performance of the appraisal assignment by "DB GROUP INTERNATIONAL", including the remote appraisal through the "VISIOXPERT DB" mobile application;   

  • Informing Clients of the services offered by "DB GROUP INTERNATIONAL";

  • Advertising and marketing, including sending paper or electronic newsletters;

  • Carrying out a satisfaction survey and market studies.  

The processing of the Client’s personal data has received the following identification numbers within the Belgian Privacy Commission: VT 004001801 and VT 005079637

 

  1. Right of access, rectification, erasure and objection

 

  1. Clients whose data has been collected may, at any time and free of charge, ask "DB GROUP INTERNATIONAL" for access to the information relating to them which "DB GROUP INTERNATIONAL" is storing. They will have the right to request the update or rectification of information which is incorrect or incomplete or the erasure of personal data (right to be forgotten) as soon as possible.

The Clients are also entitled to obtain the following information: 

  • The purposes of the processing; 

  • The categories of personal data concerned; 

  • Recipients or categories of recipients to whom personal data has been or will be communicated, in particular recipients who are based in third countries or international organisations;

  • The envisaged personal data retention period or, where this is not possible, the criteria used to determine this period; 

  • The right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority; 

  • Where personal data is not collected from the Client, any available information about its source; 

 

Clients are entitled to obtain a copy of the personal data processed. "DB GROUP INTERNATIONAL" may request the payment of reasonable fees based on the administrative costs for any additional copy requested by the Clients. 

 

  1. Clients may object to the processing of data relating to them by providing proper reasons, provided that this does not make the execution by "DB GROUP INTERNATIONAL" of its obligations more difficult.  

The Client may, in any event and at any time, object to the processing of their personal data by "DB GROUP INTERNATIONAL" for marketing purposes in the future. 

 

  1. Clients whose data has been collected may, at any time, obtain the limitation of the processing when the accuracy of the data is contested, the processing is illegal or when the processing of the data is no longer necessary.     

 

  1. Clients may exercise the rights described in Articles 3.1 to 3.3 by contacting "DB GROUP INTERNATIONAL" using the contact details indicated in Article 1.3.

 

 

  1. Security and confidentiality

 

  1.  "DB GROUP INTERNATIONAL" will use all reasonable means to ensure the confidentiality and security of the personal data that it processes. 

This data will not be passed on to third parties other than the partners of "DB GROUP INTERNATIONAL", unless:

  • This is necessary for its appraisal assignment or for the provision of online services, including the implementation of a remote appraisal through the "VISIOXPERT DB" mobile application; 

  • The Client has expressed its consent to such a transfer;

  • This transfer is required by any judicial or administrative authority. 

4.2.             The Client is further informed and agrees that the personal data collected is passed on to the partners and suppliers of "DB GROUP INTERNATIONAL" particularly where the Client chooses to use the services of those partners from the "DB GROUP INTERNATIONAL" website.

The partner will not be considered a subcontractor within the meaning of the Belgian Privacy Act of 8 December 1992. "DB GROUP INTERNATIONAL" will assume no liability for the processing of the Client’s personal data by the partner which provides its own services in its own name and on its own behalf.

  1. Finally, the Client declares that they are informed and agree that third-party companies will occasionally process certain data during service provisions of a technical nature necessary for the provision of online services or intended to ensure the proper operation and updating of the website, of the "VISIOXPERT DB" mobile application, of the accounts of "DB GROUP INTERNATIONAL" on social networks or, more generally, of the information tools of "DB GROUP INTERNATIONAL".

 

  1. Browsing information

 

  1. "DB GROUP INTERNATIONAL" may collect and retain certain "visitor information" about visitors to its website, such as, for example, the domain name and the address of the host computer from which they access the Internet, the Internet protocol (IP) address of the computer used, the date and time of the visit and the URL from which the visitors access the website. 

This browsing information is not linked to data that can be used to identify visitors and is destroyed after a certain period of time. 

  1. Browsing information is collected via cookies. Cookies are text files placed on the computer’s hard drive by a website server. "DB GROUP INTERNATIONAL" uses this information exclusively for statistical purposes to analyse and measure visits to its website and to offer Clients certain features. 

  2. The processing of browsing information described in this section can be carried out by third-party companies such as the American company Google Inc. through its "Google Analytics" tool.

In accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data and the Belgian law of 8 December 1992, you have the right to request additional information or to lodge a complaint with the BELGIAN PRIVACY COMMISSION
